Mrs. Masters has over 20 years experience in the classroom teaching grade levels from Pre-K to 12. After teaching many years in a traditional public school setting, she entered the charter school world in 2003 when her son desired something different for high school. She joined JCS as the Coordinator for Pine Valley Academy in 2004 where students develop a strong sense of community with educational choice and character education. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts, Multiple Subject Credential, CSET Math, CLAD, TESOL, and is NCLB compliant in English, History, and Math. She hold a Certificate of Training in Student Threats of Violence from NCCSE. Mrs. Masters believes in the need for educational choice, and has seen success and love for learning return to students when choice is encouraged.
